STERLING ENERGY RES INC

The U.S. dollar rose slightly on Friday, rebounding from near four-month lows, as U.S. labor and manufacturing data added to uncertainty over the Federal Reserve's rate cut plans. Sterling slipped after weak U.K. retail sales data suggested the British consumer was feeling the pinch from high interest rates.

The euro slipped after projections from France's election pointed to a hung parliament, while the dollar remained weak following soft U.S. payrolls data. The yen gained, and sterling rose as the Labour Party won the UK election.
