Palvella Therapeutics, a rare disease biopharmaceutical company, has completed a merger with Pieris Pharmaceuticals and raised $78.9 million in a private placement. The combined company will focus on developing novel therapies for serious, rare genetic skin diseases, with its lead product candidate QTORIN™ rapamycin in late-stage clinical trials for microcystic lymphatic malformations and cutaneous venous malformations.
